Duarte Unified School District (DUSD)
Home

Duarte Unified School District, in partnership with THINK Together, is applying to the California Department of Education for funding of 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program core support and supplemental support for Beardslee Elementary, Andres Duarte Elementary and Maxwell Elementary. Should Duarte Unified School District be awarded funding, additional students will be able to participate in after school and summer programming.

Duarte Unified is proud to offer award winning Visual & Performing Arts (VAPA) programs for students in grades TK-12 at all of our schools. This includes drama, art, video production, graphic arts, photography as well as instrumental and choral instruction.
Band classes for students in 4- 6th grade is also offered at the elementary level. VH1 Save the Music Foundation has selected Duarte Unified School District as their newest music partner, and granted the district instruments to grow the elementary instrumental program. All of our elementary schools each received $35,000 in brand new instruments to provide music education to all of their students in both 5th and 6th grade. In celebration of this new partnership, VH1 invited our music teachers and students as their special guests to the launch of the new Rock 'N Royals Barbie and Benefit Concert. Twenty-five 5th grade students each from Beardslee and Royal Oaks attended along with several DHS band and choir students who volunteered in the rock star zone where they taught other children how to play an instrument.
